Welcome to the FPV & XR Owners Club of Victoria
 What a fabulous result for Ford with a 1-2-3-4 finish at Sandown. The next round is one extreme from the other with the heat of Darwin. Congratulations to Pete and Joe with their awards at the display for the event.
Keep your eye on the calender for all the upcoming events. From a Golf day, the chance to drive Eastlink before it opens to the public (without tolls of course!), the 60 foot challenge and the Shannons Aussie Car Day there's certainly plenty of varied events on to keep you interested.
After a lot of work, the new magazine layout is here. Also, now with the Members section you can log in and download the mag- before it hits your letterbox!
We look forward to all new and prospective members coming along to either a meeting or event. Amongst club members we have interests as diverse as Track Days, Sprints, Social Drives, Car Shows, Concourse etc. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at the Elgin Inn, cnr Elgin st and Burwood rds, Hawthorn. Meals are available and the meeting gets under away around 7:30pm. Don't forget the next meeting on July 1st is the AGM (with a big thanks to Keith who is putting on some finger food after the meeting). Here is your chance to vote in YOUR committee for 2008/2009.

Winton Club Display for V8's |

Once again we have secured an area for a club display at the V8's at Winton. There is limited room and only about 15 spots left.
Although on for the whole weekend, the display day is Sunday only. For those who are travelling up for the day, there will be a meeting point at the Ford Factory on Sunday morning so you can all go up in convoy.
When: Sunday 3rd August
Where: Meet at Ford factory at approx 6:30am

IT'S BACK !!!!! One of our favorites is returning for 2008
When: Sunday 17th August
Where: DECA, Shepparton
Start Time: 8.30am
COST: $50 - limited to 30 entries
The club will be running a BBQ for all attending the day.

What will you need? To start with you will need to have a roadworthy car (all loose objects removed – including items in glove box and console),a licence and long sleeved clothing.If running the back track, you will need a helmet.You will need either a CAMS or AASA licence.
This year, we are running the event with another club to split costs.Therfore, each club has 30 entries. Money MUST be paid by August meeting. You cannot enter on the day, unless arranged with Brad.

In conjunction with the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club, we are doing the Marque Sports Rallye
|
So what is this?
The Ms GT Rallye is a fun navigation style event on all sealed roads made for sports cars…….winding and challenging with a bunch of questions to answer along the way. This year we are heading to the beautiful Murray River region, taking in some magnificent windy roads along with some amazing airstrip like sections.
Date: Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August
Where : Elthan Miniature Railway park
Time: 8am departure
Your overnight stop will be Echuca. Sunday will start with a "recovery cruise" before heading back towards Daylesford between 3-3:30pm where we will re-group and annouce the winners.
