Welcome to the FPV & XR Owners Club of Victoria
 After a good festive break ,we hit the road running.. err should that be driving - with our first event- the Jan Club run. It was a sea of blue with 8 of the cars coming in various shades of it! There's no time to gather dust between events, because by end of Feb there will have been no less than 8 events! February is offically full....... we have a club run, pincic races, motorsport, a tour of C.U.B and club displays - a bit of everything that covers all different kinds of things to do.
Feedback tells us you love the new mag layout. Also, now with the Members section you can log in and download the mag- before it hits your letterbox!
We look forward to all new and prospective members (that's right- come along and see if you like us !) coming along to either a meeting or event. Amongst club members we have interests as diverse as Track Days, Sprints, Social Drives, Car Shows, Concourse etc. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month (no meeting in January) at the Elgin Inn, cnr Elgin st and Burwood rds, Hawthorn. Meals are available and the meeting gets under away around 7:30pm.
Please feel free to drop any of the committee a line if you have any questions at all.

Finally we have a date for the C.U.B tour. Come along for a couple of hours of beer lovers heaven. See the brewing process first hand before returning to the BrewHouse to enjoy a tasting with complimentary sample paddle. Enjoy the brewing memorabilia and interactive diplays in the BrewHouse and browse the 'Beer Gear' shop.
There are minimum numbers, so make sure you RSVP.
When: Tuesday Feb 9th, 2010
Where: C.U.B, cnr Thompson and Nelson Sts
Abbotsford
Time: 6pm.
Cost: $25 adults, $15 kids (must be over 10 years old)

Held on the 2nd Sunday in Feb, 2009 sees the 23rd running of Picnic at Hanging Rock. The event is open to all enthusiasts  and the range and number of vehicles on display has made the Picnic the largest single day event in Victoria's motoring calendar, and one of the biggest across the nation.
When: Sunday 14th Feb
Where: Shell Westgate, outbound
Time: 7:30am

We will park together in a group once we arrive.
** Note, Macedon Ranges Shire Council has made the decision that it will not operate any services or open any facilities in the three high-risk areas of Woodend, Mount Macedon and Macedon from 12 midnight to 12 midnight on Code Red days (24 hours).
In the event of a Code Red day for the local region, the Picnic at Hanging Rock event will be cancelled. Due to the logistics of staging the event it will not be rescheduled for the current year.

Once again we are heading to the Westernport Festival as a club display. There's plenty of stuff for the little-un's to do (face painting, jumping castle, animal farm)and the big kids (car display and jet boats)

The Kiwanis All Ford Day plays host to all Ford cars- from Cobra's to F-trucks to Prefects to just about anything with the blue oval on it. There are over thirty categories with trophies and prizes worth over $2,000 up for grabs.
When: Sunday February 21st
Where: Deakin Uni, Waurn Ponds
Meet: Shell Westgate (outbound)
Time: 7:30am departure
Cost: $20 to pre-enter, $25 on the day.

There will also be a meeting point in Geelong for those who want to catch up with us there.
The OLD Ford chassis plant opposite Ray's outdoors - departing at 8:15am.
This year Kiwanis have again introduced pre-entries. The forms are in the downloads section of the website under Club Forms. (You don't need to log in for these). Pre-entry is $20, entry on the day is $25. Obviously, if they get full numbers of pre-entries, there will not be any entries on the day.
