You are invited to our annual show and shine, this year being held indoors at the Penrite Lane 88 museum, 88 Lewis rd, Wantirna South
Sunday 26th October , 9am to 3pm (members displaying must be parked inside by 10am latest)
We will be open for public visitors to come and look from 10am and judging inspection of cars will commence from 11am.
Please RSVP by Monday 20th October and advise Steve if you are entering your car for judging or just display only.
We will also need to know what car/s you will be bringing for the day. (you can bring more than one car if you wish)
You do have option to display without being judged.
The main display with judged cars will inside the main factory museum , with non judged cars parked inside the factory behind.
We will be open for the public to come and check us out so have your car presented as best you can.
On the day we will have our club BBQ there providing breakfast and lunch for purchase for members and public visitors.
As such we will need a few helpers to volunteer a bit of time on the day to run the BBQ (after you've got your car ready of course!)
Also we will feature some of our corporate sponsors on the day with trade stand/displays.
There will be plenty of parking outside for the public visitors and any members not wishing to display.
Please have a read below a guide to displaying and being scored by the judges.
We hope you are all keen to get your cars out for our annual show and shine event, so here’s a few tips on doing the best you can.
Firstly, make sure the whole car is clean. All paintwork, wheels, wheel arches, exhaust tips, grilles, lights and engine bay are clean and polished where possible.
With the interior, again make sure it’s clean , from carpets, dash, console, door trims, windows, boot , door jambs and rubbers and the boot as well.
Secondly , we are not looking for everything to be drowned in silicone dressing or armourall..judges are not impressed by that!
Thirdly , no clutter…remove anything from inside the car that will be in the way of judges looking at and inspecting parts of the interior.
Lastly, have fun and enjoy.. this is not a concourse event!
The categories are the same as last year, these being:
Best of E series, AU, B series, FG, FGX, best ute and best other XR badged cars
Good luck to all entering their cars for judging and have a great day at it!
